Option A — In the app (recommended)

- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm when prompted.
Deletion starts immediately. You will be signed out and lose access to your account and synced data in the app.

- Subject line: Volstack account deletion request
- Your full name (if known to us)
- The email address associated with your Volstack account
- A clear statement that you want your account and personal data deleted
We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days. We may contact you if we need additional information to confirm ownership of the account.
3. Data That Will Be Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following data stored in our systems (subject to the backup retention period in Section 5):
| Data category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account and authentication data | Email address, hashed password, Google OAuth tokens, account identifiers |
| Profile and onboarding data | Age, weight, height, sex, training goals, preferences |
| Workout and fitness data | Logged workouts, sets, reps, weights, personal records, recovery metrics |
| Progress photos | Photos you uploaded to track physical progress |
| Derived analytics | App-generated statistics and insights tied to your account |
| Subscription status | Premium plan status stored in our database (active/inactive, plan type, trial expiry) |
4. Data That May Be Retained
Some data is not deleted immediately with your account, or is kept by third parties outside our direct control:
| Data category | Why it is retained | Retention period |
|---|---|---|
| Encrypted backups | Disaster recovery and infrastructure backups may still contain your data briefly after deletion | Up to 30 days after account deletion, then permanently removed |
| Usage analytics (PostHog) | Anonymized or pseudonymized product analytics events (screen views, feature usage) | 12 months from each event, then aggregated or deleted |
| System and security logs | Fraud prevention, security monitoring, and legal compliance | Up to 90 days, then deleted or irreversibly anonymized |
| Local device cache | Offline queue, AI suggestion cache, and profile cache stored only on your device | Until you uninstall the app or clear the app cache manually |
| Google Play purchase records | Transaction and subscription records held by Google as payment processor | Per Google's privacy policy; not controlled by Volstack |
| Data required by law | Records we must keep to comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax or regulatory requirements) | Only as long as legally required, then deleted |
After the applicable retention period, retained data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized so it can no longer be linked to you.
5. Processing Timeline
- In-app deletion: Account access ends immediately; primary data is removed from active systems without undue delay.
- Email requests: Processed within 30 days of verified receipt.
- Backups: Remaining copies in backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.
6. Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Export any data you wish to keep before deleting your account.
- Deleting your Volstack account does not cancel an active Google Play Premium Subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in the Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions.
- If you signed in with Google, deleting your Volstack account removes data stored by Volstack only. It does not delete your Google account.
